First time to single-op this event in 12 years. Slow start while
learning new (for me) software--1st 3 hours of SS a tough place for OJT; finally
got used to it, but it was painful at first. Chuck's station performed
seamlessly and was a joy to operate as always.
Thanks to VY1JA for QSO number 2 on 10M. I almost forgot how that first
continuous 12-hour stretch in the chair feels, and how LONG and SLOW Sunday can
be. When the K index hit 9 on Sunday, I smeared-on lots of high-SPF
Coppertone--and watched the Broncos football game while F1-keying CQ into
nothingness...
