Comments:
Wow, this was quite a good one, even though we didn't
do quite as well as last year (about 0.4M less), so no
new record. But, very happy with the score, and
especially the 15 and 40M line scores right in there
with the M/M's, and the low bands very fun for a M/2.
Well, as many of you know, this is the last contest ever
from K4JA. (If you don't know, Paul is leaving radio
contesting and going into drag racing, some details at
www.k4ja.com). Antennas and towers will be coming down
right away starting tomorrow....now that everything is
working well and all the bugs are worked out. I still
can't believe it's going to happen, after contesting
with Paul for 14 years straight now. On behalf of all
of the guest operators, I'd like to thank Paul for the
opportunity to participate from this world class station
over the last several years. We're very happy to
be a part of taking several first places, and setting
some records. And, I know Paul would like to thank
"the flying 9's", the other local ops, and the help of
W3BP on station building. It's been a great experience
and this contest is a great ending to the journey.
