My score didn't beat last year, but I had fun for
someone with all wires and no towers in the suburbs.
I was really hoping to do better on the low bands -
but the conditions were not good at the start.
In fact, I had more JA's in the log on 40 than
any single country in Europe...from Maryland..go figure.
Overall, I worked five new countries - S9, 5H, 6W, TU
and CP.
Of course, too many mults got away...like the HS0-z26
that I stumbled onto on 20 before sunrise...and then
V51/DL5XL in the clear Sunday on 40. After several futile
moments of getting no answers, he simply signed "NIL QSY."
Funniest moment: an absolutely gigantic, out of control
pileup for ZF2NT on 40 meters. Amid the mayhem,
he sends "WHOEVER SPOTTED ME SHOULD BE SHOT"
I spent most of Sunday helping out with the baby and
running into the shack for five minutes here and there.
I went QRT for most of the Redskins game except for
commercials to avoid any neighborhood TVI.
