Fun? WOW!
I had limited operating time so couldn't waste it. The strategy was to get on
the second night and run as "fresh meat". Well, I couldn't resist at least
getting on the first night for a few QSO's. Had 122 Q's in 1.5 hours S&P.
Got on when I could Saturday night and Sunday morning and pretty much just ran
stations. I actually had the rate meter up to 156 at one point with a sustained
run around 130. That was cool! I can really get used to this running thing.
I missed Ak, Nt, Pr and Wy. I also was not able to get on for any European
openings so the mult count will be low compared to others.
All-in-all I'm pretty satisfied with my part-time result and I promise to have a
better antenna next time. With no beverages, I hope I wasn't too much of an
alligator.
