Decided to play a few hours before the start of the contest, but no antenna.
Got wire and coax together, pulley up on tower (not very far up). Ran out of
sunlight, so no Q's for first full day. Next morning raised 1/2 wave wire to
about 50 feet at center and six to eight feet at each end. Seemed to work okay.
No separate rx antenna.
Great Ears award to N7GP (AZ) who heard my 4 watt signal (from NJ).
Lots of fun.
