Comments:

Who else but our frineds in G land would call a 24 hour long contest a
sprint;-)I checked the results of the 2004 BARTG HF before this contest. It was
nice to see I placed as high as I did in it until I realized I was now probably
in the BARTG "expert class." Gee, I never wanted to be an expert as an "ex" is
a has been and a "spurt" is a big drip ;-) But, some might say that know me
might say if fits.

Sometimes I like to play hard in a contest, sometimes its just for fun. This
one was for fun and I only played off and on for about 6 hours of operating. As
always it is nice to print a bunch of familiar calls.

For a while I was thinking someone forgot to turn the bands on. I finally
worked an EA to get EU in the log. On JA one 15 for Asia and thanks to
EA8/DJ1OJ 40 for the only AF in the log. On top of the poor band conditions we
had show, freezing mist and winds over night that at my QTH peaked at 65.9 MPH.
Due to the storm moving through there was a large amount of QRN at times which
made printing signals difficult.
