Comments:
My second entry in WPX RTTY and I managed to improve last years score by 63% so
I am more and more getting the feel of RTTY contesting. Still some minor
adjustments to be made to get the station working as I wish.
I was very surpriced with the good opening on 15m on Saturday. In all the bands
were good with the exception of 80m on Sunday evening when I had problems
getting any contacts. 20m closed very early both evenings and only the big guns
could be heard. In all I worked 6 new DXCC and in a year I have now got 136
worked - over 90 % in contests.
While working a pile on 20m on Sunday afternoon a LX station suddenly appeard on
my frequency telling me (and everybody else) that he was on a break until
15.30Z. Since this happened about 15.00 I was forced to QSY due to the QRM. I
find this very bad behaviour - but the rules does not say anything about the
operator being off and the station being on as far as I can see!!
Thanks all for calling in and I am looking forward to meet you in future
contests. ARRL CW on 40m being the next one for me.
