Comments:
After replacing antennas destroyed by winds in June and really looking forward
to this contest, was greeted by S5 to S7 line noise (SSB Bandwidth) in all
directions but SE on 20, 15, and 10. I assume the noise is coming from a
drilling rig being intalled across the street (drilling the second gas well on
that property). In any event it sounds more like a continuous welding arc that
anything else.
This was my first year with fully functioning SO2R, which, as most report, may
have slowed me down a litte.
I did not manage to get in the full time this year, falling short about 4 1/2 to
5 hours. The antenna project for this year was to have been receiving antennas.
Hope to get that done this year and be better prepared for the next run.
