Band Goal vs Actual Comment
---- -------- -- ------- -------
160: 50/25 < 70/42 Better than expected, with Friday better
than Saturday to both Europe and Japan.
And I'm sure I left a few mults on the
table!
80: 200/65 = 197/62 Way down from expected, considering the
extra time spent there with 40 so punko.
No rate. After a marked improvement in
station performance noted in CQ WW CW, I
had hoped for better.
40: 1000/100 >> 651/87 Way down from expected. No rate before
Eu sunrise. Hard sledding before sunset,
too. Great when it was going great!
Just a tough band most of the time.
20: 800/110 >> 534/93 No real rate except for the surprise
pre-dawn fandango. Without that 100Q+
injection of fun it would be a normal
crummy S Texas 20m total. Lots of easy
mults missing in Europe and elsewhere.
You can't just stay there CQing if
you aren't getting answers.
15: 700/100 << 1097/103 The money band! Best-ever line score
for 15m in an all-band effort in ARRL
DX CW. Almost makes up for 20m and
40 being so punko. Single band 15m
would have been a great choice this
year. The openings were not as good
as last year (not as far to the east
nor as long), but the peak hours were
every bit as FB!
10: 200/50 = 164/57 The magical little European opening made
up some for a lack of people to work, but
it would have been much better without
the stupid line noise.
ALL: 2950/450 > 2687/444 Well, I think I made the most of most of
3.9MM > 3.5MM the opportunities! Close on the mults,
and not far off the QSO's.
Top W5 Maybe, but N2IC is close.
Top Ten No way. It takes a special weekend to
come close to the New England bunch,
and this wasn't it.

Note: * means that the hour matched or beat the best previous
hourly total for that clock hour in this contest.
+ means that the DX-Summit Spot Database lists a spot
for K5GN on that band in that hour.
Looks like the spots simply correlate with the number of people
worked who might spot me, not the other way around, judging
from the logs. If anything, it was a 2 or 3 QSO increase after
ward. In most cases, there was no change from before the spot.
Sometimes I promptly left the frequency!
