Comments:
This was a tough contest. The First 24 hours went as planned .. My goal was to
work as many multipliers as possible... with short runs throughout the day to
increase the Qso rate. I had 997 Q,s during First 24 Hrs. My Goal for my next
24hrs was to Run.. Run.. Run and let the multipliers find me. Well......... You
all know the conditions on day 2........... I started my run on 20 meters,
everything was great. I hadn't realized yet that 15 meters was dead.......As the
band became crowded and the Qrm was terrible I decided to switch to 15 to
increase my Qso rate. When I got there .........What a
disappointment.........Well I tried to run again on 20...... But a multiband
yagi and wire antennas were not productive enough To establish any signifigant
runs ...... With all the QRM I decided to S&P the rest of the day and
concentrate on multipliers, and slowly but surely increase the Qso count. I
ended up with a disappointing 543 Q's during the last 24 Hrs.
This is my first contest in over 3 years...... What a way to Return ..... with
conditions only a CONTESTER can love !!
