What a pleasure to have some aurora, two hours of Eskip on 6 meters, and some
good tropo on Sunday evening!
I lost a power supply in my tower box and therefore lost all bands above 432 MHz
late Saturday afternoon. Took a replacement up the tower around noon on Sunday,
attached it to the outside of the box with duct tape, and was back in business
on my top three bands.
I'm getting too old for those all-out efforts, but even with a good night's
sleep this was my best-ever September score.
One neighbor was slightly riled up with my 6-meter HP, and another more than
slightly riled up... but they will get over it.
