Comments:
Condtions were really El Stinko when I started operating around 21Z after
returning from work; a serious effort was impossible this year due to work
schedule. 15 was open, but only to Imperial and San Diego counties and 20 meter
signals could be best be described as depressed. I ran a few stations on 20
phone, but then the band started going out even before sunset at 2215Z and by
2315Z it wasn't worth staying around 20 any longer. 40 was open early, but I ran
out of gas. At sunrise Sunday, N6O moved me around the low bands and signals
were surprisingly better on 160, than on 75/80 M. Ken's stations was quite loud
on top band, but with very few takers. At 2030Z Sunday, my next chance to
operate, 15M had finally opened with good sigs; too bad the test was over at
22Z.
