Many thanks to Randy for opening his station to me again. He made it a painless
experience for this guest op! And thanks to Randy's wife Connie, his son
Andrew, and his young daughter Jannelle for putting up with me invading their
home for the weekend.
My late friend Bill Fisher W4AN told me once that I should spend more time as a
single op. I've done two previous SOAB entries in CQWW Phone (1986 @K3ZO's
station and 1995 @K1CA's station). It was time to try again. I learn something
new every time. The learning never stops in this game and that's part of what
makes it so much fun.

High points:
- 20/15m rocked Saturday...223 hr on 20 followed by a 250 hour on 15 (includes 5
Q's from a 20->15m band change)
- We do have a propagation advantage here in New England, almost all the time
- SO2R is fun...I get better every time...still need to improve a lot
- Activity in Europe continues to increase...amazing!
- Good opening to JA/Pacific on 15m Sunday afternoon...surprise!
- Only encountered a couple of packet pileups...one of my top 5 reasons to do
SOAB
- Great lowband conditions Friday night...Saturday was OK
Low points:
- Where have all the JA's gone?
- Missed 10 meters :-( As Randy has been known to say...there's no meters like
10 meters.
- QRM on 20/15 was wall to wall. Wow.
