plan was to join YT6A M/M team
but because of much work and bad WX i stay in OE!
station was this time ready (no beverage this time)
only what i have to do was some fine tunning of 80m antennas.
i find also time (3 hours) before contest to sleep!
WX was very bad all weakend here
snow, rain, ice witch bring much QRN on all bands.......
anyway in first 23 hours (with 102 min of brake) i had 2450 qso´s in log!
not bad!!!!!!
i allready think about more as 5k qso´s and 7-8 mil points.....
but mr murphy decide to visit me
my 40m rotator broke and i was 10 times during 1 day/2nd night on tower trying
to repare it, -3 degres C with snow rain and 2-5 mm ice on tower.....
this was not funny!!!!!
after some time everything was working again.....but i was to tired to
continue
and go to sleep.
wake up to late...i was very angry about that
allmost 6 hours of brake....that´s was to much....no chance to stay in
competition with top EU´s....
just in moring hours rotator broke again and this time was also 40m yagi
damaged ....after this has happed i was out of contest...
i spent rest of the contest very confortable, 80% of the time 2nd day i was
S&P and around 13:00 UTC i switch to Assisted categorie!
good news SO2R setup was working excellent!
i had few hours working around 100 or more QSO´s with running radio
and 20-30 qso´s with 2nd radio! look to brakedown!
CW is much better for SO2R as SSB!
