TkS Brian

I did hear you right away - well above my noise floor - but not SUPER LOUD.

Good copy on you - better than the previous night with ZL2BSJ - although I
finally did manage that callsign.

I at first thought he was ZL3IX - with whom I had a sked - but I kept
hearing ZL2 - and the BSJ, being a new callsign I am unfamiliar with, meant
that he
had to do at least 6 repeats before I finally got all of it on a QSB peak.

thanks to you BOTH for the contacts from QUARTZ HILL - Both sigs were better
than expected although when you were there Brian, signals were a legitimate
S6 or so - the previous night it was more like S4-5 but copiable with some
effort finally on the ZL2BSJ call.

It was a far more exciting from the VY2 end - roughly 1,000 qso's into
Europe - about 900 into W/K and a scattering of qso's outside the Americas
including VK3ZL, three KH6's, three KL7's, several UA9's an EA8, a 7X0 - three
4X4's.

I know (because I have BEEN THERE!) - how hard it is from ZL. Peter Watson
always said oit BEST - if you look at a globe and see where ZL is located
from the world's population centers, he said "we are more than a hemisphere
away
from just about everything - EXCEPT VK!'

I got a kick out of that.

Finally, if any of you guys ever manage a trip up NORTH during our
summertime, please consider a visit to PEI and VY2ZM.

I imagine you would be surprised to hear what Europe sounds like on Topband
from here - even in high summer!

73 and Merry Xmas guys from Jeff VY2ZM/K1ZM
