Comments:
This year ten meters gave us Scandinavians a big surprise. Saturday was as poor
as I could have expected and Sunday was even worse until our evening time. Only
a few DX from Africa and from the Middle East were logged so far. By that time I
had only 100 contacts in the log. I didn't know that my score would increase
sixfold during the evening.
Aurora-E opening ruled the band rest of the Sunday evening. First I could only
hear K4EA and then we had a good opening concentrating into FL. The signals were
jumping up and down making it quite interesting. I thought many times that the
game was over but after a while the signals would come back. Later I was even
able to work into CA. W1's were very difficult and rare but I managed to work a
few NJ, NY and even VE3 just before the end of the contest. I missed many mults
from the west coast, W1- and W0-region but I cannot complain.
In all it was quite interesting to work 200 contacts into NA at the bottom of
the cycle. If I only had had a decent stack on ten instead of the shortish 5
el.
Thanks for the QSOs!
