Comments:
Another GREAT ADVENTURE from the Silverado Mobile ... since moving from the
Midwest Division (MO) to the SouthEast Division (WCF), this was the FIRST time
that I had an opportunity to put the tiny 10m Hustler resonator on the band. It
was VERY interesting, and I'm getting good at turning the RF gain down to S&P
for S7+ signals ... 100w into a 10m Hustler resonator 6 feet off the ground on
the bumper of the truck doesn't command a RUN freq too well ... although I tried
and did get a few takers. When the band would open ( Es, Au, Ms, skew,
backscatter --- we had it all during the 10m contest this year ) it was QUICK
S&P between CW and SSB to catch the loud ones ... And I am AMAZED at the results
... none of the OH, SM, TF worked, but EA8BH and ZL6QH did get me in their logs
... great stations/great operators ... and I missed only VT, MS, AK and HI for
the WAS on 10m ... Now that's amazing to me from the mobile! I could definitely
go for seeing this contest TWICE a year instead of only once! Thanks to all who
took the time for repeats and QRXs 'til the next "wave" allowed the Q to be
completed. I always say this for every contest, cuz I'm Ate Up With Radio, but
