Comments:

Didn't plan to do much of anything in this one.
I was working in the office Friday night and checked the Telnet activity which
looked like there was some decent action. I took a nap after working and then
decided to go out in the freezing garage and see what was happening on the
radios.

Made my first qso 8 hours after the contest started and just dunced around
playing DX'er S&P'ing my way around the bands. I started having too much fun and
got fooled into thinking I was really in a contest. At some point I lost control
and started cqing.....

Had a great time, slept when I wanted and never got frustrated by the freq
bandits and the normal inability to find something new to work.
Actually had a short moment of fun running several EU packet pileups on 20m on
Sunday morning way up at 14.117 or so. First it was the DL's, then the I's had
it. Later the mid-day 15m opening over the pole showed up which is always fun
but always frustrating. Everyone that was there in N. Eu was over S9, but guess
not too many ops at the other end know about it.
Finally got into really using both radios the last two hours of the contest,
after making the 26 mile trip to the market for the XYL.

447 q's S&P, 306 cq'ing, only 88 bandchanges, which made it really smooth
cruising. 95 separate DXCC countries, Darn! Missed that weekend DXCC.

73, Kurt
