Comments:

The first 4 or 5 hours of this contest had us feeling sky high.
We were leading the RealTime scoreboard! Then reality hits. K1XM
uploaded their score and it was nice to see that Paul and
his group would be challenging the higher echelon of M/M. The
best Ops went to bed and the overnight crew had to struggle
with band conditions. We lost QSO totals the next 5-6 hours.

With daylight came the higher band openings. We made up some of
the lost ground. Having made a bunch of computer changes like
adding Winkeys and USB Optical mouse, we began to have computer
and software issues. At one point we had an operator somehow
put one of the stations into NA Sprint! We feel we lost a total
5 hours of good band conditions.

I can't say enough about the importance of running. Unfortunately
we have more DXers than contesters it seems. My favorite OP here
this contest has to be Don, K1IN. I sat him down on 40 Meters at
1900Z the first day and said "Run Forest Run"! "Don't even touch the
frequency dial." He asked could he work mutlipliers and I told
him "only if they call you!" He sat for 5 hours and ran Europe
at a great rate. Finally at 0000Z he had to take a break.

At Sunset the first day (around 2200Z) K2VUI heard HS0 on 80 meters
and was surprised to do so. He called but no reply. Just more CQs.

We had fun but a little disappointed in the QSO total. Not much
different from last year when we were a M/2 but band conditions
almost make the two categories equal. Great job by all the YCCC
operations. Some M/2 and M/S scores are really impressive.

Thanks for the QSOs and see you all in ARRL DX SSB.

                   73 Dick
