Comments:
- Really tough going this year. This was the first time in several years that I
had the whole weekend free, so wanted to make a strong effort. Unfortunately
the conditions didn't seem to cooperate!
20 was the work-horse of course, but it was a grind to work Europe, with all the
splatter and short skip. Only the real strong stations were coming through
here, and it was like "pulling teeth" to work a lot of them.
- Nice little openings on 10. Contacts on 10 and 15 weren't as excrutiating as
20. Did pick up some nice stuff, but a P29 or 6W8 isn't worth any more than a
WX7 from a multiplier perspective. (It's nice to catch them before the packet
hordes descend on them!)
- Only heard one JA (and did work him) but sure missed all those multipliers.
I did have fun (I think) although I think that an ice-pick through the head
would be less painful in some respects.
As always, thanks to the great (and patient) operators out there with excellent
receivers and the willingness to hang in there and dig me out of the noise and
splatter.
