With the Solar Flux down to 74, conditions on the higher bands were were
extrememly poor. This would have to be the first contest of any sort that I can
recall when I didn't make any W/VE contacts on 15m, even though the 4U1UN & W6WX
beacons were coming thru albeit very weak. In fact it was nearly 14 hours into
the contest before I made the first W/VE contact on any band at all. Just one
Eu qso on 15m, EA5GQM via the LP when I was beaming W/VE. No LP opening to East
coast W/VE on 20m either.
Nice to work K4GMH for my only 80m contact. Only have a dipole on 80m, (must do
some about that before the Solar flux gets up to 200 again!), so I rely on the
other guy to have a good antenna set-up. Thanks Mike.
