CONDX EXCELLENT ON 20. AMAZINGLY, ABSOLUTELY NO PWR LINE NOISES, ONLY MACHINE
NOISES FROM WELDER DOWN THE STREET. TOO MUCH TIME SPENT WATCHING TOO MANY
BBC TELEVISION PROGRAMMES, AND WORKING ON REBUILDING A BEAM. GAVE IT A GO ON
SUNDAY, BUT MOST OF THE GUYS I HEARD ON 20 WERE THE SAME ONES I WORKED ON SAT.
SOME VERY VERY BIG SIGS FROM EUROPE. NOTHING AT ALL FROM VK AND ONLY ZL6QH
FROM NEW ZEALAND. PROBLEM IS, SOME OF THOSE BIG GUNS CAN BE HEARD OK, BUT
A FEW OF THEM SEEMED TO HAVE NO EARS FOR LISTENING. OTHERS ONLY GAVE ABOUT
HALF A SECOND IN BETWEEN CQ's. SEEMED LIKE A LOT OF THE DX STATIONS KEPT
ASKING FOR REPEATS OF NUMBERS, EVEN FROM QRO STATIONS. ONLY A COUPLE OF
GUYS HAD MY CALL AS 7NS INSTEAD OF 7NH. ALL OF MY QSO's WERE FROM SEARCH
AND POUNCE, EXCEPT FOR THE FOUR CQ's I MADE. MOST OF MY 9 HOURS WERE SPENT
LISTENING FOR NEW PREFIXES. THANKS TO THOSE "SMALLER" STATIONS WHO COPIED
MY REPORT WITH NO PROBLEM, COMPARED TO SOME OF THE "BIG GUNS" WHO HAD TO ASK
FOR NR REPEATS.
