Okay, I've had a few hours sleep so my soapbox might sound acceptable now!
Well, Bill Gates entered this contest with me sometime during a break in the
action. My laptop is setup for auto OS updates, and so it did, late Saturday
night. The download and install went fine but it kept pestering me with a
reboot request every few minutes. I finally relented (although I clearly heard
"you might be sorry" playing loudly in my tired brain).
I needed a snack break so I let it procede and of course, when I came back,
none of my software would work! After a few failed software "repairs", I used
the Restore-Point Wizard and was back in busi
