Spent about 13 hours on 40/80m as they were the most reliable bands. Western
Europeans were very rare on 15/20m, only HQ stations heard. Just a few
extremely weak signals on 15m, but managed to grab a few Eastern European
HQâ??s around sunset (0500utc) via short path.
40m was the money band as expected, with very good signals from JA and NA. The
outstanding DX signal on 80m was XX9A plus plenty of NA stations. No openings
to PY on 15/20m, but the PY WRTC boys were easy on 80m (20 worked), and 40m (19
worked).
ZL activity level seemed to be much higher than 2005, at least 12 ZLâ??s were
active on CW including ZL6A NZART HQ and ZL2AZ IARU R3.
