Having just replaced my beams with a 40 meter extended double zepp, I didn't
expect to do much in this contest. Got on expecting to spend a few hours giving
points to the deserving. With sporadic E giving coast to coast condx on the high
bands, I had a blast using a very simple station with a wire anenna in the
trees! I've seen a few comments from left and gulf coast folks lamenting condx.
It's quite typical that when we have sporadic E like this, that it makes it
rougher for those areas to make their usual hay. Thanks to all for the
entertaining Saturday!
