Comments:
My first attempt at SO2R at the new QTH, using a new DX Doubler from Top Ten
Devices. Boy, with this box and TR-Log software, it sure takes the work out of
SO2R. Now the only obstacle is between the ears. And I need to get the band
pass filters hooked up again... didn't think I'd need them LP, but I do.
TR says that I had 33 band changes. My normal Sprint is about 3-4 band
changes, so I was definitely working it when I could. I think it was helpful,
but then again, it could have been a distraction.
Bands were long right from the start. Sadly, I never worked most of my friends
in the SMC and MWA. In fact, I had TWO total QSOs with Illinois! 20 was really
tough from here. On the bright side, 80m & 40m rocked.
I'm still a CW lid (sorry for all the requests for number fills), but this was
a LOT of fun and can't wait till next February!!
SSB SPRINT: Due to a family obligation, I may not be on, or will be late.
Sorry to miss the party guys -- I'm really bummed out. :-(
