Location. Moses Lake on 5 acres of flat land
Equipment IC 706, Force 12 vertical dipole and a 150ft end fed wire for 80 and
160
Conditions on 20M at the start were pretty good as I could hear many, many EU
in the SAC contest. Even worked a few prior to the contest. Switched to 40M at
around 5PM as things were pretty dead on 20 in terms of replies to SR CQs. But
40 was not very productive with only 24 Q's total on that band. 80M came alive
after 6pm so switched back and forth between 40 and 80/75 until about 9 pm and
then stayed on 80 and 160 until around 1130pm. Heard and worked Dave KD7GIM at
11:03 on 40 calling CQ all by himself. So at day's end, I had a total 179 Q's.
Sunday 20M was pretty much dead. Only worked 16 stations and it looked like I'd
worked everyone who could hear me. So I switched to 75M phone and worked a bunch
more mults for a final total of 210 contacts. Packed it in at 1:30 and headed
for home. Total time in the chair was 12 hours.
