Comments:
Just finished installing an SO2R setup, so I gave it a good shakedown this
weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the "friendly" company. 20m was definately in
from KS to PA most of the day Saturday and again on Sunday. 40m was weak on
Saturday during the day but kept things interesting on Sunday as I kept a
second radio busy chasing mobiles on 40m CW. I didn't chase quite all .. missed
Clearfield and Juniata although I know both were active. I was tracking the
mobiles on a map and knew about when they'd be in the those counties, but the
band faded at the wrong time (twice).
N3SH kept popping up everywhere .. hats off to that crew .. 18 contacts total
from here. The mobiles also did a great job: WA3RA (thanks for Sullivan!),
W3USA, KN4SK, K8RYU, K4MUT, KB3CO, AD8J and K3KYW. I know it's not always
possible to stay on the same frequency each band, but I still try to put you
all in memory when I find you and keep coming back to check. I also really
appreciated the mobiles who found my run frequency, then came back for repeat
visits.
Thanks to the the Nittany ARC for hosting the PAQP once again. It's already on
my calendar for next year.
