Comments:

Boy, what an absolute shambles. The weather conditions Friday
night prevented so many loud stations from hearing me, yet I was
hearing them just fine. And my noise level was quite reasonable,
compared to what so many others were fighting.
I really, really miss a good cw contest, and the soothing sound
of smooth crisp cw.
This really turned into a short range contest, dx be hanged. Half
my Qs came from other CA stations. At least I managed to work all
the 11 Western states, plus VE7 and VE5. Couldn't find a VE6,
though. Or KL7, come to think of it. Did manage a KH6 though.
I really love 160m, but I think I'll stick to cw contests, unless
conditions are a whole lot nicer than this weekend.
I normally thank all those who strained to pull my signal through
the noise and QRM, but I noticed a lot of big gun stations having
the same problem hearing each other. Looks like it was just
standard practice for this contest this time. But thanks to all
anyway :-)
Now I'm looking forward to the ARRL SSB DX contest, where I can
get up on the higher bands.
Hope to hear many of you in there.
73, Bob N6WG
