Comments:
Enjoyed the Contest as the bands were okay, not good, but okay. The activity
was very good considering the time of year - a lot of folks on vacation,
especially in the USA. Number of new stations were worked which is good for
RTTY contest.
Only a single station problem, a loose USB connection, but it caused a couple
of symptoms that stopped operation; the SO2R switch wouldn't work after 2 hours
into the contest and the infamous MicroSoft "blue screen of death" showing up an
hour later. When the computer was restarted, the USB to serial adapter couldn't
be seen by the computer. Once the USB connector was reseated, the computer and
other equipment operated as normal.
