Comments:

Just got home from my weekly Contest Expedition to K7RI (2 miles southeast of
here). Great fun once again...and the Radio Highlight of the week !! Noticed
dead silence in the minute or so before the starting gun on 20.... tuned from
035 to 045 and nary a peep...then all hell broke out!! Right on cue!! Amazing
to hear the pileup of signals from 040 to 042... seems like the whole gang was
jammed into a really tight 2 khz arena.. making for fast action and tons of
QRM. Worked N4LF Lex in FL before the test w/ good signals, and never heard
again after the start. Bands seemed to be favoring the NW to W9 and W5 mostly.
Lots of TX and IN worked. Noticed activity being up too... lots of single Q
contacts.
See y'all in the final ladder test next Thursday evening. I think if each
regular finds ONE OTHER person to participate we all would benefit from more
action and mults. Im going to commit to bring someone new to the NS next week.
How bout you guys? 73 de Dan K7SS
