Comments:
I was only able to operate part-time due to a conflict with the Austin Hamfest
where I was generating momentum for the Texas QSO Party. Left the hamfest
around 2:00pm and arrived back in Houston to start the contest around 5:00pm --
a litle tired and real hungry. So I put in a few hours on 20 and then went out
to get a bite to eat. Conditions and participation seemed way down from
previous NAQPs. On both bands that I operated (20/40) there were wide spaces of
open frequencies. Unfortunately the times I tried to get a run going yielded few
results and I eventually resorted to S&P. About 10:00pm it looked like I had
worked everyone on 40 so I packed it in.
73 es hope to hear many of you on September 29-30 for the TX QSO Party.
Chuck/NO5W
