Comments:

It's ironic that I had to ask more than once for a name fill when the name was
Phil! I could certainly feel N6ZZ's presence. RIP, OM.
Although I again fell short of the magical 300 QSOs, I had a great time in
this
Sprint. Multipliers seemed to find me or be magically available. The only one
that fooled me was NP3 in NY. With KO7AA reporting 48 I wonder what eluded
me?
An attempt was made to prepare several days in advance, but I found the W6UE
TS950 again has problems. This afternoon I installed my TS440 for the contest.
This is the same rig that made all those QSOs as XE1/AA6RX and XE1/N6AN. An
Alpha 78 plus inverted vee on 80, 4el KLM on 40 and 5el yagi on 20 rounded out
the station.
After leaving my son at his friend's house at 2330Z I had a 5 mile bike ride
back to the station. I unlocked the door to the shack 7 minutes before
contest
time. 20 started well, but slowed down rather quickly. I jumped to 40 before
the first hour ended and stayed there, with a few visits to 20, until around
0230. Then I tried 80 in desperation after finding 40 to be wall to wall
signals that I'd already worked.
My last mult worked was Alabama on 80m. 35 mults on 20, 11 on 40, 1 on 80.
I certainly had fun working all of you, and I was happy to hear so many Phils
on the air.
Below is my multiplier list.
73, David N6AN
ps One op was sending very long CQs, I guess as SO2R. He plopped down on top
of one of the weakest stations I working and sent a CQ some 5 to 7 callsigns
long. Not terribly sporting, nor effective, I'd say. To KE0G; Dan, thanks for
your patience.
