Comments:
It was a bit of luck to have the S-0 noise level on 15m during the entire
contest. With propagation 71/13/3 there were many areas that were missing.
Multiplier was much lower than ever before, and well below the worst 15m year
of the last cycle bottom (1995). The band closed before sunset; on Saturday it
opened about 40 minutes after sunrise and closed about 1.5 hours before sunset.
Despite this it was amazing to hear 5H3EE with a great signal during one
opening. From W6 the band was never crowded. After 15m hours lots of
Europeans were heard on 80m, which produced 3 new countries (403A,ZB2X,OH0R).
40 LP was great fun as always. We all look forward to more sunspots and the
return of European pileups on 15/10m from the West Coast! Thanks for the
QSOs!
