Comments:
I started out on 40M, but after about 2 CQs, my SWR went horrible. I spent the
next 5 or 6 minutes fiddling around with all the connectors until I finally
found the one that had wiggled just barely loose. (The outer part was still
screwed on snugly.) However, then there was some horrible S9+20db noise for the
next couple of minutes that I had never heard before so I was only able to hear
the strongest of stations. (It dissapeared eventually.)
I finally went on down to 80M with about half the time left to go and got 16
quick and easy ones to finish up. If I hadn't had the connector problem and I
had gone to 80M about 10 minutes in, I think I could have ended up with at
least 10 or more QSOs than I did.
So far I've only operated in 4 or 5 of these but I can already tell a huge
difference, even if my score doesn't show it!
Good thing this runs every week!
