Comments:
Lots of "snow" noise during this contest on 80m, it ran a good S-6 here, it was
hard to pull some of the weak ones out. Either case I did lots of CQing and
had one of my best scores for this contest. Got a late start due to opertor
problems in setting up W/L.
20m was good, not much noise there, did not need to turn the AMP on on 20m.
The 40m high dipole came down in Dec and is under about 4' of snow right now,
so I used either the 160m sloper or 80m vee through the tuner, this worked ok,
except for lots of noise.
80m was the bread and butter. Some of the typically loud sigs were down in the
noise this afternoon.
FT-1000MP
AL-80B amp throttled back to 1kw out.
