Comments:

Miserable propagation as expected. Only one W worked on 15m and only 3 on 20m,
just about sums up the propagation I experienced.

40m was the only band with any life in it and I was having a great time running
NA and Asia on Sunday night when smack on the hour of 1200utc, the much hated
and dreaded Chinese Dragon OTHR came to life. 7005 to 7100 was affected. I
stayed up all night hoping that he would run out of breath or move, but he was
still breathing heavy at sunrise on Monday. The dragons signal is S9 constant,
so could only make one more contact on 40m and a handful on 20m.

Some good stuff, had heaps of received low exchange number contacts with never
worked before stations.

More bad stuff Im sorry. Far too many repeats were needed from all stations,
big guns, small pistols and newbies alike. It should be borne in mind that its
4 or 5 hops signal hops to ZL and signals suffer from phase distortion and lost
in the noise and QRN. Sending numbers and time just once is fine when a W1 is
working a W2, or a UA3 is working a SP, but not so when working a very far away
dx station on 40m, no matter how big your gun is. Many of the requests for
repeats produced a silent pause, presumably the operator was figuring out how
to do it, and often repeats were sent by manual keyboard typing. Some repeats
were just the same single numbers exchange again, instead of multiples.

Equipment used
TS-2000 plus AL-80B at 500w, 40m elevated GP, triband yagi

73, Frank ZL2BR/ZM2B
