Comments:
Lots of fun. My first FQP in many years. Saturday was pretty good, but
conditions took a nosedive on Sunday. NC is just too close for this contest.
Most of the time 40m is the only band with propagation.
I almost thought that I wasn't going to get to operate the contest due to
business in Hardee County, Fla. As it turned out I missed one county on CW -
you guessed it - it was Hardee! Many thanks to the mobiles who kept things
going. Most of my QSOs came from these brave souls out on the highways risking
life, limb (and bankruptcy with gas at $3.50/gal.)
I hope to operate this one from Florida next year as the Lakeland airshow that
I always attend has been rescheduled to end just before the FQP contest
weekend.
