Comments:

Great to be back in the FQP this year. Goals were a quick CW Sweep and 500+ CW
QSO's. The last two Counties were Miami-DADe and CoLlieR. DAD showed up at
00:12 on 40m in the form of AD4Z but no CLR the first day. At 16:08 on Sunday
while tuning around 14030 I heard KF4DNL calling FQP, called him and he gave me
CLR! Nice surprise! I hope some others worked him too. Don't want him to be a
unique! The next CLR came two hours later and I ended up with 6 of them!
As usual the mobiles made the contest!
K4OJ 44 QSO's
N4KK 43
NO5W 41
K4KG 37
KN4Y 29
W4AN 28
N4EEB 26
NF4A 26
N4BP 23
N4PJ 23
plus 8 others.
Conditions were fair with a little QRN thrown in on 40m. It was a little
challenging competing with all those VE3/VA3's who kept beating me to the
QSO's. It must have been challenging also for the FL stations to sort out
pileup of VE3KF, KP, KZ, DZ and RZ. I think I stole one QSO from Yuri when I
called after him and the FL station came back with "VE3KZ QSL". Whoops!
Thanks to the organizers of such great activity!
