FUN FUN FUN ! 20 was empty at 0225 and just exploded at 0230! Hard to leave 20..
it was really rolling...Hated to go to 40 which was very QRN and weak but it
seemed to actually get better between 0245 and 0255... maybe i was just getting
used to the noise by then....its hard to believe that there is a propagation
effect showing major improvement in a band in just a few minutes. Have had this
happen lots of times in the NS in the past. 80 and 160 were gonners as expected
this time of year... and if not for the local Gang of 7s, and a barely
copyable couple of W6s, it would have been a total wipe out. *** Wonder if
others are interested in a SINGLE BAND NS one of these times just for fun.
Either a 20 or even a 40 would be interesting, any thoughts? or even a DUOBAND
NS.*** A few months ago, couldn't go anywhere and NOT hear huge sigs from W9RE
and K9BGL... boy..that has changed. Had to dig to get IL into the mult column
this time. As usual NO W1, a single N2ZN, and NO 3s (heard N8NA once). Great Q
total this time, Im happy as a clam ! See you all next time. Thanks to K7RI for
the killer station on a city lot. 73 de DanWa
