Comments:
Got a late start due to some antenna maintenance that took longer than expected
(repairing damaged coaxial cables on two antennas -- one was known, but the
other was a surprise to discover). Missed the first 70 minutes of the
contest.
Ten meters was nil in the early afternoon. For some reason, decided to check
10 after supper before moving to the low bands. Was pleasantly surprised to
discover 10 meters open after supper. This caused a change in plans and
delayed my move to the low bands, but it was great to pick up the extra mults
and Q's on 10. Subsequently, did not get to 160 until the last 45 minutes of
the contest. 160 was a disappointment -- much lower activity than usual for an
NAQP. Many usually easy multipliers were not heard on 160.
Still one of my favorite contests. Plenty of activity and does not take up an
entire weekend. 75% of QSOs via CQ runs. Thanks for the QSOs. 73, Gary
