Comments:

Long story in a short format. Mobile in mother in laws drive way. IC706 broad as
a barn on receive. Couldnt get the laptop to key the rig. Used a old AEA keyer
that got hot at times and wouldnt work. Bencher key in passenger seat to send
manually. Car would over heat. Temp out side was close to 100+ with 40%
humidity. Old man syndrome, run into the house, water out, water in, back to
the radio. Make a few contact, run back into the house, water out, water in
back to the radio. Work the strong stations. Calling CQ high in the band didnt
produce much. Old contest keyer would hang up. Heat and RF mostlikely.Worked
most of the GMCC'er that were on. KO7X, W0ETT, K0RF, N2IC, W0ZA, K0FX, AC0DS,
N0HF, K0RI. Tried 10mtrs. Heard a few weak signal from W6's but no contact.
15mtrs didnt have a ham stick for that band, will need one in the future. Never
did much on 40mtrs due to dinner party given by mother in law that evening.
Had fun sort of. Back to vaction. PTL bill K0UK
