Didn't plan to operate in NAQP SSB, but couldn't resist another contest this
weekend. Only got on after a good nap at the end of the second SARTG RTTY
session ended (5 p.m. local). Operated NAQP for 4.3 hours, most of that time on
40M. The 80M vertical array wasn't loading well up on 75M, so hunted around and
got just two mults there, then returned to 40M, which was pretty hot on the
twin half-squares. The Classic-33 set for CW on 20M was really tough up in the
SSB band. Guess 20M was a lot better earlier in the day.
Was great to hear the voices of all those familiar ops for a change. Enjoyed
moving around for guys -- Mitch K7RL got me down to 160M for my only Q there on
the inverted-L (which actually loaded up well enough to get a few watts into it,
hi).
Great fun for an evening!
