Comments:

Conditions were very good. This should have been my best LP sprint score -- the
total number of QSOs should have been at least 250 and perhaps more. I had 22
Qs the first 15 minutes, 38 Qs the first half hour, but then slowed a bit to 49
Qs after 45 minutes, and 62 Qs after the first hour.

On 40 meters, I actually had 86 Qs for 86 minutes. The 99 minutes shown for 40
meters includes 13 minutes with no QSOs. I lost 13 minutes of QSOs on 40 meters
from 0149 to 0202 hours. I was puzzled why the rate went to zero and I could
not get any replies for S&P and CQ calls during that time. This dry spell
ended when I happened to notice that my Elecraft K3 radio was in SPLIT mode.
The same front panel button that copies VFO A --> B also serves to put the K3
into SPLIT mode when this button is held for a little longer time. (Many of
the K3 buttons are dual function depending upon whether they are pressed
momentarily or held a bit longer.) Apparently when I went to return to the low
end of the band and pressed the A --> B button (the low end was stored in one
VFO, and I alternate with A/B and A-->B), I must have held the button down a
bit too long and unknowingly put the K3 into SPLIT mode. A costly lesson. K3
owners beware! K9MMS be more careful! :)

My apologies to anyone that encountered my lid-operating while in split-mode
during 0149 to 0202Z on 40 meters.

Thanks for the QSOs. A fun time as always. 73, Gary
