Comments:

It was my best result ever in this contest. I doubled my score from last year.

The interest in this contest is definatley growing as I observed signals from
14.020 to 14.150. This might be a bit too much. I also saw RTTY above 3600 for
the fist time. I am sure there were some CW/SSB ops who were not happy about
this. Please try to avoid 14.070 to 14.073 where the PSK guys are trying to
have fun.

My equipment is identical to last year except I used N1MM this time.

ICOM IC-746pro
KT-34A at 55 feet
Verticals for 40M/80M

I managed almost 29 hours in this contest. I can't imagine doing 30!

A couple of things that bother me about operating habits. (my own bad habits
don't bother me)

First many stations are not demonstrating much courtesy in their exchanges.
When a run station copies the other stations report, they should respond with
something that indicates that they have copied and logged the exchange
information. If 'QSL' is too difficult maybe 'TU' or just 'R'. But 'CQ' is
definately a bad choice and when I get a CQ instead of QSL I assume the QSO was
not complete and I try to get a QSL. If I cannot I delete the QSO from my log.
So I lost some that way. How many others agree and do this? If enough do there
will be a day of reckoning come log checking time.

Secondly what is going on with all these {enter}s in the macros? When I am
running I find myself chasing calls all around my display with the mouse
pointer as they shoot off the top of the screen often taking other calls with
them. This might be an interesting idea for a video game, but its not fun in a
contest. Why not consider just one {enter} after the call so that it just sits
there on a new line in my RX window like a fat juicy plum waiting for me to
pounce on it.

This remains one of my favorite contests. As my stamina declines I more often
find myself competing against my last years score. This year I won!

Thanks to everyone who logged me. The easy ones as well as the more difficult.
See you next time.

73 to all,

-Robby
