Comments:

What a blast..!!...I should have stayed up later both nights, and should have
gotten up earlier both mornings, but hindsight is always 20/20...My goal at the
outset was only to better the SOAB(A) VE record of 1.2 million points, which I
figured would take about 20-24 hours in the chair, so I got lots of sleep and
took long supper breaks...Another 2 hours would likely have gotten me to the 2
million mark...

Great condx on 20m, with strong sigs from SE Asia, which helped out with the
mult count...15 was very sporadic, with only brief openings...10 was basically
dead the whole weekend...

The low bands extremely noisy, but good condx salvaged 40 with consistently
strong signals and good long runs into EU both evenings...

Where were all the VE's ?...Only 72 Q's with VE stations total, and lots of VE
mults missed...

That was the best turnout I've ever seen in a RTTY contest, but with no 15 and
10 to spread the load, everyone was crowded up on 20m until the low bands came
to life in NA...At one point Sat afternoon, there were signals from 14.035 to
14.150...I'm sure there are many CW/SSB ops a little upset at that...RTTY is
becoming very popular, and this will continue to be a problem...7 years ago,
1,000 QSO's in a RTTY contest would be a great achievement...Now that's do-able
SOSB...Great to see...

73, Scott VE1OP
