Comments:

Rough Start, Strong Finish

This contest was NOT FUN for a number of reasons. Excuses:

Wide Bandwidth and Antenna Tuners are NOT very compatible.
Had to retune tuners often (VFO B =VFO A, move VFO, switch to CW, tune,
reverse)
Electrical Noise from multiple sources sprung up AFTER checking lines Thurs.
80M High Dipole still Down (support rope broke after too many years of svc)
Monobanders broken, damaged, or can't rotate, all due to Tree Growth
Hacking Cough from Fall Allergies and post-nasal drip.
Slept 7 hours Friday night (0700Z to 1400Z) missing SR openings
Watched Political Talk Shows Sunday Morning missing Eastern EU opening on 15M
Only 26 Hours of Air Time

160M EU too weak to copy without Beverage (NE Bev DEAD ???)
80M conditions to Eu marginal, especially using single GP.
Too much retuning required, especially when DX below 3.7 QSX above 3.8
40M 2L40 worked well but had to tune Tuner for Low, Mid, and High regions of
band
20M Very surprised and pleased to work BV, BY, VR2, YB, 9M8 using 2L20 fixed
NW
Director broke off Telrex 3L20 and nearby tree is 5 ft higher than beam
now
15M DEAD to EU Saturday. Nice openings Sunday to EU and Pacific.
10M Only station heard all weekend was HC8A for my only 6 Bander.

5 Bands = 15 stations in NA,SA,AF
4 Bands = 15 stations in NA, SA, EU, AF
3 Bands = 45 stations in all continents except Asia

Radio Icom 746 PRO, B&W PT2500 Amp

Antennas
160M Inverted L with apex in tree at 80'
80M Elevated GP to EU, Pacific, Inverted Vee to SA/Carib
40M 2L40 at 95', Dipole fixed JA/SA at 90'
20M 2L20 at 75' fixed NW, TH7 at 40', TH6 at 40' fixed SE
15M TH7 at 40', 2L40 used to work some Carib/Central Am./SA
10M TH6 at 40' fixed SE
