Comments:
Although I've been a ham since 1969, this was my second SS and first time
hosting. Call me a late bloomer. Despite all the best-laid plans, Murphy's
Law kicked in early as we had problems with the beam for 40,20,15 & 10 meters.
Ron W8RJL was great. While we operated on 80, he constructed and erected a
40/20 meter fan dipole and had us back up and running on those bands in no
time. We could not get through the pileup for EWA and never heard NT. I was
surprised at the lack of activity on 160 the few times I tuned down there.
All in all, had a great time. I'll post some pictures at www.W4XQ.com later
for anyone interested.
