Comments:
Had high QRN levels (local and atmospheric) for the first few hours of the
contest. But the noise subsided enough to make the rest of the contest easier
on the ears.
Best antenna for receive was the inverted L. Neither the loop nor the Carolina
Windom 80 were hearing well at all. Too bad the inverted L received the storms
moving across the U.S. Midwest just as well.
Not my best effort in this contest. My total QSO count was down by about 30,
but I picked up two DX stations more than last year. Still, this is my favorite
contest. Making notes for next year.
