Comments:
A crazy choice again! After doing two contest in a row from PS2T (70km from my
home) I decided to stay here, near of my bed and cellar, and try to go back to
the past, when I use to do Low Power All Band contests... Wasn't easy to work
this WPX SSB under 80w, but was simple amazing to work B4R in the morning on
40m band!! I can not believe until now!!
I am not SO2R really - my statistics tell me that I need to learn more on that,
and maybe spend more money with Band Pass Filters (have just one BPF-600
Dunestar):
Radio 1 = 1304 QSOs
Radio 2 = 0020 QSOs
I am very happy because I heard a lot of friends everywhere in the world,
including old friend AC8G from Dayton, W6OAT@W1CU, F6BEE@6W1RW, W6TK, K1AR,
K1DG, N6AA, and others - was a fantastic party!
Like you can see in the following lines, this Low Power Contest will get my 5th
best participation in WPX SSB any time!! Or even 2nd looking for SOAB/LP... I
have no reason to be unhappy!!
1 PS2T 2008 SO HP ALL 11,390,195 3,443 1,069
2 PY2NY 2002 SO HP ALL 7,174,056 2,681 887
3 PY2NY 2005 SO HP 20M 4,922,663 1,975 853
4 PY2NY 2007 SO LP ALL 2,865,888 1,452 642
5 PW2N 1995 SO LP ALL 1,272,245 939 481
Was very interesting to see PY3DX going up and discover later that he was
running HP. Even under this condition, I choose him to be my target hi hi - he
was better!!
See you next contest...
Vitor PY2NY
